Only Human has worked in collaboration with Jonathan Barnbrook, the celebrated award-winning film maker and graphic artist, to give voice to those seldom heard voices, not only on their feelings towards the genetic sciences poised to transform the future of medicine, but also on the need to find a way to make that science feel open, available, equitable and safe to them, as a matter of urgency.
Some people are alienated by and distrustful of advances in medical science and researcher, especially around DNA and genetics.
The majority of the British public feel that scientists should listen more to what ordinary people think. We agree with them. And we research how to communicate better. Which is why we’ve developed this website.
